For pupils currently in Year 5 planning to sit Grammar School Entrance Test in Autumn 2025.

The test is designed to mirror both the content and format of the test sat by children hoping to gain a Grammar School Place. The test covers English, Numerical Reasoning and creative writing skills.

The test is written to replicate the FSCE style test used by Heckmondwike Grammar School and Halifax Grammar Schools .

On purchase two emails will be automatically sent.

First email is a confirmation of order and the second email contains the link to the test instructions.

Your child will require: Black Pen x2 -no further stationery is required. A small snack and drink can also be brought for the short break.

The test will be split into Paper 2 Free Response, followed by the Creative Writing Task, a short break and then Paper 1 Multiple Choice.

Each paper is split into short timed sections. The children will be warned towards the end of each section- AN ANSWER SHOULD BE GIVEN FOR EVERY QUESTION AS THERE IS NO NEGATIVE MARKING. Only one section can be worked on at once-there is no working ahead or returning to previous sections.

Upon completion of the test answers sheets will be collected to be scanned and marked automatically.

Once collated scores and rankings will be supplied to parents anonymously.
