How can we help your child?

We are Mark and Mandy, plus a great team of teachers who prepare children for selective entrance exams for Grammar Schools and Independent Schools plus we now offer GCSE Maths and English.

We are specialists in our field and over 1000 children have reached the required standard for their chosen school with our support.

We have tutored children for our local selective school, Heckmondwike Grammar School, for over twelve years and have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience.

We have produced our own bespoke materials designed to help students prepare for their entrance test.

The sessions and structured, fast paced and stretch the most able of students.

Our materials cover maths, English, and patterns (non-verbal reasoning) plus Verbal Reasoning 

We are very proud that 146 of our students gained a place at their chosen school this year.

We offer ONLINE sessions throughout the week.

We can also offer tuition and support to all children of primary school age through our partners, Graham and Sarah.

For pupils currently in Year 5 planning to sit Grammar School Entrance Test in Autumn 2024.

The test is designed to mirror both the content and format of the test sat by children hoping to gain a Grammar School Place. The test covers English, Numerical Reasoning and Non-verbal reasoning skills.

The test is written to replicate the new GL style test used by Heckmondwike Grammar School.

The test will be held at an address in Morley, West Yorkshire. Upon purchase you will receive further details.

On purchase two emails will be automatically sent.

First email is a confirmation of order and the second email contains the link to the test instructions and historical data from this test.

Your child will require: HB pencil (x2), a pencil sharpener, a rubber-no further stationery is required. A small snack and drink can also be brought for the short break.

Working out paper will also be available.

The test will be split into Part A, followed by a short break and then Part B.

Each part is split into short timed sections. The children will be warned towards the end of each section- AN ANSWER SHOULD BE GIVEN FOR EVERY QUESTION AS THERE IS NO NEGATIVE MARKING. Only one section can be worked on at once-there is no working ahead or returning to previous sections.

Upon completion of the test answers sheets will be collected to be scanned and marked automatically.

Once collated scores and rankings will be supplied to parents.
